Complete Repair + Upgrade + Restoration of your treasured SANSUI AU-517 or AU-717 or AU-719 Integrated Amplifier. These gems have been in service for over 30 years and are in need of a full Capacitor Replacement + some TLC to make them run for another 30+ years. We are Electronics Engineers who perform these restorations as a hobby at a relaxed pace for a fixed price (no hidden charges).

Here is the list of work performed. Perform ALL required repairs within this service, including reflowing dry solder connections in any board.

Each board is thoroughly inspected for issues. Power transistor issues are also covered in this service. The only exclusions are Front mounted panel knobs and controls, Power Capacitors and Power Transformer.

Full replacement of ALL Electrolytic Capacitors on Audio Boards with Nichicon Audio and Muse Capacitors (see video below). This includes all Transistors, Diodes, Resistors etc. Replace all damaged or weak Fuses with new Fuses. Replace ANY trimmer that is dysfunctional new multi-turn high-precision replacements (very useful in keeping bias an offset voltage adjustments stable).

Please note that this work is done as a hobby with a great attention to detail, delivering a very high quality of workmanship. We limit our restorations to just One Amplifier per week (this work is done as a labor of love and is not a commercial proposition). The mains Power Transformer, Four large Power Capacitors, Panel mounted knobs, controls and Switches. For a video of a recently restored AU-717.
